Error when adding search provider for IE 7 solution

Have you ever tried to install a search provider for Internet Explorer 7 and got this error "Internet Explorer could not install this search provider" ? Frown
Well, I also encountered this problem and managed to solve it with the help of Uncle G (Google).  Cool

 

Symptom

When you attempt to add a Search Provider, the following error message may appear:

Internet Explorer could not install this search provider.

There was a problem with the search provider's information.

 

Resolution

Click Start, Run and type:

               regsvr32 %SystemRoot%\system32\msxml3.dll

Press Enter.

p/s: After you run the command, you'll receive the message "dll register server succeed". Restart your Internet Explorer and Voila! You can now install the search bar of your choice.
