Knowledge - Mobile / PDAs
Today, a friend of mine, Bro-men (galigaligali.blogspot.com) handed the above phone to me. He said that the phone has been blocked. After a quick look at the phone, I come to notice that it has actually been phone locked (luckily not the sim-lock). So, as a friend I offer to unblock the phone for him.
I took the phone home, and start searching in the everlasting wonderland of information - the internet. Though Jurassic as it might seem, this phone still got people talking about it in forums, and portals. The main topic is about unlocking and some secret code that came with it. After exploring a few website, I manage to find a code that can reset the phone setting and thus removing the phone block code.
The steps are simple:
a) Turn off the phone and take out the sim card
b) Turn the phone back on. And when it prompt you to enter sim card, key in the following: 2767*2878# (Custom EEEPROM Reset)
c) Turn off the phone, insert back the sim card, Turn it on again.. walla! you have now unblocked the Jurassic.. err I mean the classic SGH-600

How and when you fill up makes a difference!
With the continual increase in the fuel and petrol prices – and the news everyday hinting toward yet another increase, everyone is starting to feel the pinch.
In addition to the more obvious fuel saving tips, such a ridesharing and lift clubs, using public transport, walking / cycling to work, or moving home closer to work, I was surprised to find that the way in which one fills up also affects your fuel usage.
Here are four simple tips, received via email, that you can implement next time you fill up to save yourself a bit of cash!
TIPS ON FILLING YOUR CAR(S)
Only buy or fill up your car or bakkie in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the fuel, when it gets warmer petrol expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening….your litre is not exactly a litre. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role. A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.
One of the most important tips is to fill up when your tank is HALF FULL.. The reason for this is, the more fuel you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. petrol evaporates faster than you can imagine. Petroleum storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the petrol and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, at fuel pipelines, every truck that is loaded is temperature compensated so that every litre is actually the exact amount.
If there is a fuel truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy, DO NOT fill up–most likely the petrol/diesel is being stirred up as the fuel is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles at the bottom.
When you’re filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode. If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapours that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapour return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapour. Those vapours are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you’re getting less worth for your money.

Affection - Anime
On a normal day, or as normal as it seemed, Nobita went to school and suffered his daily dose of abuses and bullying. Running home crying, hoping that Doraemon would rectify his problems, he discovered, to his horror, that Doraemon had stopped moving.
No matter how hard he kicked or punched Doraemon, the robot remained immobile and gave no reactions. Not knowing what to do, Nobita panicked, and tears were rolling out of his eyes. He was scared, and as he watched drops of tears falling, splashing themselves against the cold, hard body of the mechanism, Nobita suddenly realised he could time travel to the 22nd century and somehow resurrect Doraemon. Without thinking twice, he immediately jumped into the Time Travelling Machine located inside the drawer in his desk.
When he reached 250 years later, he found Dorami and was told that Doraemon had a flat battery and Nobita's best friend couldn't operate unless he receives a new battery. Normally, robotic cats would have spare batteries stored inside their ears, but considering that Doraemon had his pair nimbled off by a mechanical mice, the circuit has stopped. The problem being, if Doraemon has his batteries changed, all the memory saved inside Doraemon would be lost if the circuit is reset...
Doraemon will never remember Nobita and all the adventures they have been through together. Nobita, not wanting to lose his best friend, vowed to himself that from that day onwards he will study hard and one day become a successful robot technician and resurrect Doraemon with his own hands.
He told his parents and all his friends that Doraemon went back to the future. In fact, Nobita had hidden Doraemon inside his wardrobe. Not long after, people forgot about Doraemon's presence, though Nobita and Shizuka missed Doraemon dearly.
Nobita studied hard from then on, and each time he failed, he told himself that Doraemon is depending on him. Every time when he felt like giving up, he looked into the sky and think of all the wonderful time he had with Doraemon. Eventually, Nobita improved on his grades, and went straight from high school and into university, succeeding and achieving his goals. His hard work and determination paid off.
Thirty years later, Nobita transformed himself from a failure into the CEO of an Artificial Intelligence company. He was happily married to Shizuka, and after years of hard-work and research, he finally developed a computer chip which contained all of Doraemon's memory.
Nobita immediately retrieved Doraemon from his laboratory, and implemented the chip into his childhood friend. An eerie sound infiltrated the atmosphere, and within the next moment, before Nobita realised what had happened, Doraemon slowly got up and Nobita was in mixed emotions. He was both excited and scared, scared that Doraemon forgot about him. But he knew Doraemon hadn't when he held out his hands towards Nobita and smiled warmly at him.
"Nobita, I have waited for a long time. Congratulations." Doraemon said. And from then onwards, and for the rest of their lives, Doraemon and Nobita and family lived forever happily together. And let it be a lesson to the rest of you: If you can dream it, you can do it.
Enjoy the manga! (A bit differences can be seen here and there, please play the music first for a more pleasant reading atmosphere) (requires flash)

Life - Motivation
An elderly carpenter was ready to retire, and he told his boss of his plans to leave and live a more leisurely life with his wife. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by.
The contractor was sorry to see such a good worker go, and he asked the carpenter to build just one more house as a personal favor.
The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career.
When the carpenter finished his work, the employer came to inspect the house. He handed the front-door key to the carpenter. “This is your house,” he said. “It is my gift to you.”
The carpenter was shocked! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.
So, it is us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then with a shock we realize we have to live in the house we have built.
If we could do it over, we’d do it much differentlt. But we cannot go back.
You are the carpenter of your life. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall.
Your attitudes and the choices you make today build your “house” for tomorrow.

Life - Motivation
by Terry Paulson, PhD, CSP, CPAE
Today's winners in the game of life will be known for flexible optimism and resourcefulness in the face of adversity and constant change. Unfortunately, too many are falling victim to the depression of our age, learned helplessness... "Nothing I can do is going to make any difference in what happens to me, so why try?" Here are seven practical tips to help you claim your own optimism advantage:
1. Cultivate a continual sense of adventure that takes advantage of opportunities. Victors make the best of opportunities while victims whine about how few they have. Failure to make choices doesn't prevent failure it just turns life into slow death. Never be paralyzed by limitless choices; do something one choice at a time! As Yogi Berra would say, "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."
2. Build a history of lifelong learning instead of settling for obsolescence. You become an old dog when you stop doing new and improved tricks. Invest 5% of your time in education to stay a recyclable asset. If you hate your job, raise that to 10%. Search for what you enjoy and have the gifts to do. Optimism is easier when you have a job that gives you passion, fulfillment, and energy.
3. Manage your motivation by catching yourself being effective. You are probably tougher on yourself than on any other person. Instead of taking yourself for granted, love yourself the way you love others you care about. If you are not catching yourself being effective, you may be winning and not know it because you're not keeping score. Ask yourself daily, "What did I do today that made a difference?" Use your calendar to write down one success every day.
4. See mistakes as valued lessons on the way to success. Life is like a moving vehicle with no brakes; if you spend too much time in the rearview mirror, you may hit a tree out the front window. Keep your rearview mirror smaller than your front window by using self-criticism as course correction feedback on the road to success. Victims say, "I'll never be able to succeed." Optimists perceive failures as temporary setbacks, rather than final verdicts. Build an expectation of success through hard work.
5. Spend time with other optimistic friends. Mark Twain said it well: "Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great." The company you keep can bring you up or bring you down. Pick your friends and associates wisely.
6. Work your sense of humor. Don't go through your life with your face in "park." Humor provides perspective that breaks the stress cycle and invites a more positive attitude. If you know that some day you will laugh at a problem, don't wait—laugh as quickly as you can! Take your job and life seriously, but yourself lightly. Never forget that some days you're the bug, and some days you're the windshield. That's a perspective worth remembering in these challenging times.
7. Finally, experience the power of gratitude. Unrealistic expectations are a sure road to disappointment. Optimists hope for more, but are not thrown by less. Start counting your blessings instead of your problems. Choose to be happy unless something happens to change that instead of being unhappy until something makes you happy. Appreciate the words of Reinhold Niebuhr: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Affection - PS2 Games
OZ - Over Zenith (released in Europe as Sword of Etheria and in Korea as Chains of Power) is a Beat Em' Up/Action Adventure video game for the Playstation 2 by Konami. It was released on June 30th, 2005 in Japan, July 21st, 2005 in Korea and on February 24th, 2006 in Europe. It was re-released as a Konami Best Hit in Japan on Januarary 26th, 2006.
The game follows a young boy named Fiel who discovers that rather than a human, he is really a Katena, a super-human type life-form with a crystallized limb called a Lex, which can be used as a weapon or to wield a weapon (In Fiel's case, his arm grows a small claw to which he wields a flame-sword). Fiel has a sister named Dorothy and a pet cat named Toto, who actually transforms into Fiel's Sword and reveals Fiel's Katena form to him. Later on, Dorothy is kidnapped by monsters called "Volo" and Fiel must save her with the help of two other Katenas, Almira and Leon.
Neobita in The Sword Of Etheria As I am currently in the process of completing this game, I'll share my exploits here with you. I don't really remember when I bought this game, but it is really like a year ago, I think. I bought lots of games, but do not have the time to play them all. So here I will try to finish as many game as possible and record my adventures here in waklu! Though its a personal note for me in recording my game achievements, I thank you for reading anyway.
I started playing the game last week. On Wednesday perhaps... well, when I first bought the game, I had to test it to see if its working. And a test it was! After playing for a couple of hours, I was already in chapter 5, saving the hero's sister in the shrine. I remembered the game got me so worked out with all the combos, aerial attacks and superb finishing moves. Well, here I am today playing it again.
As I already experienced the game once, the second time starting it is a little breeze. I got A rank in the first fight (first stage) with Almira whereas I would only managed to get B rank before. I noticed although I haven't played the game for almost a year, my skills improved and I know what to do next in a battle. I have also managed to volley the enemies longer by the means of Aerial Attack. I've read in Gamefaq.com that in order to obtain the best ending you need to finish the game with A rank. Well, I'm not too confident of scoring A for the upcoming chapters, so I'll try my very best to obtain A rank in every chapter I come across.
