Yes, now wherever you are in this wonderful earth we live in, you can now get free iTunes account. How do you do it? I will guide you in this walkthrough.
Step 1: Click here to obtain a code to redeem a free album at iTunes store.
Step 2: Copy the code.
Step 3: Open iTunes and click on iTunes store. Look at the right hand side of the store and find the quick links. Click on "Redeem".
Step 4: Paste the code into the field.
Step 5: Choose to create a new account.
Step 6: Fill in all the information. You now have the option of selecting "None" as your payments method. As you can see, the country is automatically selected as United States. In order for you to proceed, you need to fill in a US address. Just use any matching Country and Postal address. Example: California = 94043
Step 7: After that, just login using the username and password that you've just created. You can now download album artworks for songs in your iTunes.

This method JUST DOESN'T WORK for me. Also, may be its because I have updated my itunes to latest version, so may be the bug has been fixed or something?

my itunes version is 7.6.2.9
it is when itunes upgraded to version 7 that we can automatically download album artwork online via itunes store.
this is not a bug... it is a free coupon to download free music via itunes (like the one we can buy through ebay) if you are from US then there's no problem, if you are not, you need to enter a us address in the address field when registering in iTunes. Good Luck!

Hi. I think i wasn't clear in my first post. The problem I have is that when I type in the coupon code, and then later attempt to create an accunt, it still doesn't give me the option "NONE" for payment methods
Why? You said that it will give that option?

the code has expired, I'll get another code later... however, should you have problems with the account registration, that is to select "none" as your payment options, you can go to this url here: http://docs.info.apple.com/art...um=301958. this article is run by apple, and it also stated that you can select "none" as your payment options, but you will need to redeem the coupon first.. hope this help

actually, now we malaysian can already register an itunes account. The difference is that you cannot download songs...just applications for the iphone...

This is great for those of us who were so confused. Thanks goodness Apple removed DRM protection from iTunes, that removes a step from the process. I’d like to add that many people don’t have a bluetooth to transfer their ringtones to their phone so they’ll to use an app like Data pilot to copy any music files from your hard drive (usually in “My Documents/My Music” on Windows) to your phone. Apple has done well. Now you can even get free itunes!
